It is an old saying of Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche that we only really do justice to a philosophy when we are prepared to measure it against its \"most sacred inner being\". This insight may or may not be contemporary, but for Romano Guardini it applies in a special, almost double sense. After all, the inner centre of his thinking is precisely the contact with the sacred itself: prayer. But what does Guardini actually mean by this? How and what did he himself pray? And can we still learn something from his life of prayer today?<\/p>\n

We want to address these and other questions at our upcoming Guardini Day. In proven cooperation with the Guardini Foundation in Berlin, we are once again inviting you to meet the great religious philosopher and theologian from 17 to 19 February 2025 - this time in Munich. However, no prior knowledge is required: in addition to an opening service in St Ludwig's, our opening podium on the Preschool of Prayer will first prepare you for our conference theme. Only then will we begin our exploration of what Guardini was also to concern himself with throughout his life: the psalms, the collection, the rosary, but also art and film - and of course the question of whether and how people today are (still) capable of dialogue with God.<\/p>\n

Finally, we want to follow Guardini's own paths. And not just in a figurative sense: an exhibition specially designed for the conference will take us to Guardini's Italian homeland, and a kind of spiritual city walk will familiarise us with Guardini's personal places and paths in Munich in a unique way.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
