Our modern life is inconceivable without raw materials, without raw materials there would be no technology. A smartphone contains 60 different metals. Batteries, a central component of the energy transition, require lithium and cobalt.
\nWhat other raw materials does German industry rely on? What quantities are needed and where do they come from? Is our supply of raw materials also secured in the long term - and at what price, with what dependencies? What social and ecological problems arise along the supply chain of raw materials?<\/p>\n

Gemeinsam mit Fachleuten aus Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft und auch mit Ihnen diskutieren wir diese Fragen am Beispiel der f\u00fcr die Energiewende erforderlichen Rohstoffe wie Kupfer und Lithium. Wir werfen einen Blick auf den globalen Rohstoffhandel und die Lieferketten.<\/p>\n

Welche Rolle spielt der Import mineralischer Rohstoffe? Nat\u00fcrlich wollen wir sicherstellen, dass der Import sozial und \u00f6kologisch verantwortbar ist \u2013 selbst, wenn die Rohstoffe aus weit entfernten L\u00e4ndern kommen, meist aus Regionen au\u00dferhalb Europas.
\nWhat could new and sustainable ways of supplying our raw materials look like? What contribution do domestic deposits make? And what role do secondary raw materials from waste and scrap play?
