Constitution in danger?

Challenges for the Basic Law and democracy

In May 2024, the Basic Law celebrates its 75th birthday. A short time later, European, state and local elections will be held in several federal states. In view of the AfD's high poll ratings, there is currently a lively debate about the protection of the constitution and democracy.
Against this backdrop, we ask ourselves: Is our constitutional order so well protected that it can prove resilient against any challenge? Or could our democracy be seriously jeopardised by anti-constitutional forces? The lawyer and legal philosopher Horst Dreier and Friedrich Zillessen from the "Thuringia Project" of the "Verfassungsblog" will talk about and discuss this.
