Tutzing - Dispute over peace

Friday, 27.01. - Saturday, 28.01.2023

Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine on 24 February 2022 has drastically changed the political situation in Europe and the world.
It painfully demonstrates that peace cannot be taken for granted and that the threat posed by totalitarian states in Europe has been underestimated. With the ecumenical conference "Struggle for Peace" of the Catholic Academy in Bavaria and the Protestant Academy in Tutzing on 27 and 28 January 2023 in Tutzing, we will explore the biblical foundations of Christian peace ethics, trace the historical arc since the end of the Second World War, question the role of Orthodoxy and attempt social-ethical perspectives for the present.
