The "Prophetiae Sibyllarum" are among the great works of the Munich Renaissance composer Orlando di Lasso (1532-1594). The text is based on ancient oracles that have been reinterpreted in Christian terms. "Cantus München", a professional vocal ensemble, will sing Lasso's "Sibyls" on Tuesday, 21 March 2024, at 7 pm in the lecture hall of the Catholic Academy. Art historian Wolfgang Augustyn, Graz-based Old Testament scholar Irmtraud Fischer and musicologist Bernhold Schmid will speak at the event.
